Answer
A method similar to silkscreen but more along the
lines of Block printing. There is a transfer of ink onto paper. The easiest
part is rolling the paper through the roller, but it really does get more
complicated. Majority of the process takes time. Alot of maintaining of
inks and the right amount of water. I first created the image using a sharpie
marker on a vellum-like paper finish and with certain oils to help separate
the artwork done in black the oils act as a ink holder for the color desired.
It becomes very challanging to create multiple copies with the same consistency.
I know now where my talents are favored. There are a limited supply of
traditional printmakers nowadays which technology getting better and more
efficient. But nothing beats the quality of the ol' methods of back in
the day. I admire the talents of these fine craftsmen.
